About Indigo Valley

If you have a passion for the "black gold", we invite you to come and explore some of the world’s most incredible coffees with us. But before you jump in, let the story be told of why we came to be and the reason we do what we do.

Why we do what we do

Way back in 2005 our founder director, Andrew Salsbury, was approached by a friend running large Anglican church asking for help to source great tasting coffee and teas for services, concerts, events and eventually a community coffee shop.

What started as a favour to friend rapidly transformed over the coming years into a much broader coffee business. 15 years later, Indigo Valley has stayed true to its roots and the principles of social enterprise and charitable partnerships continue to be at the heart of what directs us today as we supply all industry sectors throughout the UK with the absolute best quality coffees.

How we do what we do

Our focus has always been driven by quality. We employ a highly skilled “Q-grader” to select the best specialty graded beans each season has to offer. We began life as a small-batch roasting company and progressed to the point where we now offer coffee roasting that is 100% Carbon Neutral.

Simple - keep it simple

It's not difficult to roast coffee, anyone can do it. It is however difficult to stay dedicated to artfully roasting coffee so that year after year you keep winning awards for it. Our motto is, simple but done well. Don’t just take out word for it, Indigo Valley has picked up 13 Great Taste Awards to date.

It’s good to talk - let’s ‘do” coffee

Ultimately, we stand or fall by the quality of our coffee, the price we charge and the service we offer. Business is not complicated. So, if you are looking for a coffee supplier, invite us over, it’s great to meet and put a face to a name. We will bring a machine and brew some tasty coffee for you to enjoy while we discuss how we can partner together.
