Indigo Valley were proud to sponsor a category at this year's South West Fairtrade Awards.
The awards, now in their sixth year, took place at the New Bristol Brewery. The awards attract ethically-focussed organisations from all over the South West, from Cornwall to Swindon, who come together once a year to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight.
A total of 50 organisations were recognised at the ceremony, for a wide range of supporting roles in the Fairtrade industry. This includes the sale and purchase of Fairtrade products, communication of Fairtrade values to their staff and customers, and supporting Fairtrade in their organisations’ management and policies.
Indigo Valley were pleased to be the sponsor of the Best Conferencing venue category. The award was presented on our behalf by the event organisers; Bristol Fairtrade due to us supporting a training event at the Royal Court theatre in London at the same time.
Indigo Valley who are totally committed to both Fairtrade and being low impact on the planet through being a carbon neutral company were particularly pleased that attendees were encouraged to bring their own coffee cups and to take home any leftover food rather than it being sent to waste.
