This year Fairtrade fortnight runs from Monday 26 February until Sunday 11 March. The fortnight is gives campaigners, businesses, schools and places of worship an opportunity to show their support for the farmers and workers who grow our food in developing countries.
As you probably already know, Indigo Valley is a huge supporter of Fairtrade. Almost all (about 98%) of our coffee, tea and hot chocolate is Fairtrade certified.
Find out more about Fairtrade Fortnight and what you can do here:
'Before joining Faitrade we didn't see any benefits, development or profit. The price we received per box wasn't enough to cover our costs - and for 17 years it didn't change. Since starting with Fairtrade it's made a mega-revolution in our lives.'
'For hundreds of years, we were taught to serve, to be workers. Now with Fairtrade, we are entrepreneurs'
Marcial Quintero, member of Coobana, a Fairtrade banana co-operative in Panama.
